Costa Blanca Photographer
Being a Costa Blanca photographer has many perks. With constant sunshine and mild temperatures, these are some of the many perks of being based in Spain. I really enjoy being based on the Mediterranean, and spend a lot of my leisure time in the sea. I have taken up Stand Up Paddling (SUP) and have since been involved in producing a video to promote this sport.
I produced this short video, for Surfhouse Calpe, a 15 minute drive along the Mediterranean coast. It was filmed on a stunning spring day in Calpe on the Costa Blanca. Freesea a stand up paddle company was searching for a Costa Blanca photographer, and found my facebook posts about my SUP adventures.
I was commissioned to do a series of lifestyle photographs to promote their boards. I was over the moon as I got to combine two activities I love, photography and paddle boarding!
Once the Sup arrived, I managed to convince Anastasia to model the paddle board, and even though she had never used a stand up paddle board before, she took to it really quickly. The best part of this assignment was that I was able to photograph in Altea, at my own pace, enjoying all that the Mediterranean has to offer. It was a really fun shoot and the client was really happy with the photography. I wanted to include various people and age groups, the Costa Blanca is an ideal location to enjoy the SUP as the water is really calm.
My daughter is also a really keen water enthusiast, and she was more than happy to jump onto the paddle board and enjoy another stunning day here on the Mediterranean. I sent the photos to FreeSea and this was the reply I got:
