From Photography to Marketing: How Creative Media Skills Led Me to Promote Regions and Towns Across Europe
Every creative skill opens a new door — and for me, the journey from photography and videography to regional marketing in Spain and across Europe has been a natural, exciting evolution.
What began as a passion for capturing light, motion, and atmosphere has grown into a career promoting some of Europe’s most stunning destinations — from Almuñécar in Andalucía to Castelldefels near Barcelona, and beyond.
Today, through ODS Projects, I help cities, regions, and tourism boards tell their stories across multiple media — through photography, video, and large-scale advertising campaigns across the UK and Europe.
The Link Between Creative Media and Marketing
When I first started out as a photographer, my focus was on visual storytelling. Every photo shoot and video project was about capturing a feeling — the energy of a place, the culture of a town, or the personality of a brand.
Over time, I began to realise something important: these same visual storytelling techniques are at the heart of effective marketing. Whether it’s a promotional video, a billboard design, or a social media campaign, success depends on how well you connect emotionally with your audience.
That understanding of light, movement, and emotion gave me a strong foundation for creating marketing campaigns that do more than just advertise — they inspire travel and curiosity.
Promoting Spain’s Towns and Regions
Spain is a land of contrast and beauty — from the warm coastal charm of Almuñécar in Andalucía to the Mediterranean sophistication of Castelldefels near Barcelona. Each location tells its own story, and my goal has always been to bring that story to life through modern, creative marketing.
Working with local tourism boards and regional authorities, I’ve used my photography, videography, and production background to design campaigns that highlight the unique culture, scenery, and spirit of these destinations.
Through ODS Projects, our focus is clear: to promote regions, towns, and brands through powerful multi-channel marketing. That means blending photography, video, and design with strategic placement — from online campaigns to outdoor displays in major European cities.
From Cameras to Campaigns: Growing Across Europe
What started in Spain has now expanded across Europe. We’ve delivered campaigns in some of the continent’s most iconic urban environments — from bus adverts in London to street posters in Berlin and Gothenburg, and digital billboards in Stockholm.
Our tram advertising campaigns in Germany have been particularly effective, offering high visibility and memorable impact for tourism clients. Each campaign reflects the same creative DNA I developed as a visual artist — a keen eye for composition, timing, and storytelling.
Because whether you’re behind a camera or designing a full-scale marketing campaign, the principles are the same: clarity, emotion, and connection.
From Photography to Marketing, Creativity Meets Marketing Strategy

My creative foundation helps bridge the gap between artistry and strategy. I know how to build visuals that resonate — and through ODS Projects, those visuals are backed by targeted data, strategic placement, and cross-platform consistency.
The goal isn’t just to show a destination; it’s to make people feel something about it. That’s what makes an ad on a London bus, a poster in Berlin, or a digital billboard in Stockholm more than just an image — it becomes part of a story that encourages people to visit, explore, and engage.
This blend of creativity and marketing experience has helped ODS Projects become a trusted partner for clients seeking European marketing campaigns that truly stand out.
Looking Ahead: The World Travel Market 2025
This November, I’ll be attending the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, one of the most important international events for tourism and marketing professionals.
It’s not just an opportunity to connect with new clients — it’s also where I’ll be running three separate advertising campaigns simultaneously in London, showcasing the reach and versatility of what we do at ODS Projects.
WTM perfectly captures what my journey has been about: turning creativity into impact, and using photography and videography skills to tell stories on a global stage.
From a Lens to a Global Platform
Looking back, it’s clear that every stage of my creative path — from photographing local businesses to producing videos, to now coordinating pan-European marketing — has built naturally on what came before.
The transition from photography and videography to marketing and promotion wasn’t a change in direction; it was an expansion of vision.
By understanding both the artistic and strategic sides of storytelling, I’ve been able to help destinations across Spain, the UK, and Europe stand out in an increasingly competitive world.
Whether it’s a regional tourism campaign in Andalucía, a digital push in Barcelona, or outdoor advertising in London and Berlin, the goal is always the same: to connect people with places through creativity, emotion, and design.
